Marcelo Siqueira (Sica), ABC , is one of the most esteemed experts in Post Production and Visual Effects in the Brazilian market. A member of the Brazilian Academy of Cinema, the Brazilian Cinematographic Association, and the Visual Effects Society, he boasts 31 nominations and 7 awards for Best Visual Effects.

Marcelo's career began in 1994 as an editor at Casablanca Post in Brazil, where he first delved into visual effects for advertising. In 1999, he proposed the creation of a company solely focused on entertainment. Within eight years, he ascended to the roles of visual effects supervisor and company director, leading a team of over 400 professionals. A true visionary, Marcelo developed his own project management system and pioneered the use of digital intermediates in Brazil, working with 2K images in as early as 2000. He also introduced groundbreaking technologies to Brazil, such as digital restoration, stereoscopy, satellite dailies transmission, and the Digital Cinema Package (DCP), which revolutionized the transition from 35mm film to digital servers in cinemas nationwide.

In 2011, Marcelo co-founded Mistika with his sister Ariadne Mazzetti, a post-production and VFX house dedicated to entertainment projects. Today, Mistika operates offices in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Fortaleza, and Salvador, with a permanent team of 80 professionals and the capability to manage over 400 people annually in project-specific teams.
Marcelo's portfolio includes award-winning projects like Brazil’s first stereoscopic 3D animated feature, “Brasil Animado,” the 80-episode macro series for Rede Record, “Jezabel,” featuring over 8 hours of visual effects, and acclaimed feature films such as “Besouro”, “LOPE”, "Little Secret" and “Deus é Brasileiro.” He is also a member of the Visual Effects Society in Los Angeles, USA. He is currently producing the 52-episode animated series "The Adventures of LINO" for Disney.

In 2022, Marcelo was invited to be a Producer and Visual Effects Supervisor for the fiction series “SENNA,” hailed as the largest series of all time for Netflix in Latin America, set to premiere on November 29, 2024. This role demanded his exclusive dedication throughout 2023, during which time he relocated to Argentina for the production . Sica's great dedication and deep involvement from the script stage led to his being invited to direct the action unit (2nd unit) responsible for all the racing scenes in the series.
